Template

To show how oSplit can be used, we provide some templates (as a starting point) with some example item & prices; each has slightly different options; some highlight different features
The price division may not be correct, it may not be legal and it may not be suitable in your case - you can always customize it to fit your need
Last Update Mar 31, 2022

Group Buy

Group Buy usually doesn't require long term interaction. In order to make the Deal sells out faster, you can choose Friends and their Friends

Charity / Donation
There are a lot of good charity platform out there, but this is one of the lowest platform fee (with no payment fee as well, since you verify the transfer yourselves)
oSplit doesn't verify charity because only your friends and/or their friends can join

The template consists of 1 item, and the maximum limit of Deal is for the Deal fee to be calculated and can be increased once the limit is almost reached

oSplit accepts all reservations (pledges) right away

Pre Order (Make)
Most of the time, things are cheaper to make in large quantity - for example cooking, baking, craft, etc
Because cheaper price only makes sense if a certain quantity of items are ordered, minimum quantity can be set on oSplit before reservations can be assigned

This template assumes that there is 1 type of item sold

oSplit will ensure that the minimum count is reached before assigning reservations, but will stop when the Deal reached its limit

Bulk
Some stores give discount if the items are bought in bulk - some require same item, others allow varieties or different items
oSplit can be used to track who ordered what and at what quantity, which items are already fully booked

This template assumes that there are multiple items and there are a limited quantity per item in a store

oSplit will ensure that the minimum count is reached before assigning reservations and will not count the reservations that are above the item limit

Menu
Buying lunches for other co-workers (with different price) and keeping track of who owe what, who overpaid can be hard
oSplit can track whoever organizes (& picks up) lunches (doesn't have to be 1 person) for other co-workers and settle the bill at the end of the week; oSplit will keep track of the debt and will cancel each other debt and show consolidated debt for each person
Changes to buying launches can be done right at the end of the Deal - you don't lose anything if your co-worker cancels his lunch

The template assumes there are 3 type of foods with different prices

oSplit will ensure that the minimum count is reached before assigning reservations

Ticket
Some parks give discount to senior, kids and discount for a big group; usually a family is not large enough to get a group discount.
You, your friends and their friends can order together (in various ticket prices) to achieve the minimum group discount

This template assumes that there are different ticket prices, such as for seniors, kids, etc.
The template also assumes there is bigger discount for bigger group

oSplit will ensure that the minimum count is reached before assigning reservations

Store / Distributor
Some factories give discount if you order in large number - but unsold items will create inventory and cash flow problem
Order exactly what the customers need solves this problem

This template assumes there is more factory incentive if a store buy a certain amount of money, and assume that more than 1 item type are allowed from the same factory

oSplit will ensure that the minimum cost is reached before assigning reservations

Crowd Funding
There are a lot of establish crowdfunding websites with a lot of prospective buyers - but mostly with rigorous check and high platform fee, for a good reason: the platform doesn't know the seller and want to protect its buyers because buyers don't know the seller
This is overkill for a small crowdfunding
Organizing a small crowdfunding with friends and their friends can simplify this: there is no project verification (the participants will do the vetting because only organizer must be his friends or has a mutual friend), and the platform fee is much cheaper or even free

This template assumes that there are 2 tiers, there is no price discount on achieving the tier, but it will unlock a goal (put these goals as text)
The template assumes you need more time to distribute, therefore, it is set to 30 days

oSplit will ensure that the minimum cost is reached before assigning reservations

Custom Design / Niche Market
Sometimes some people have a very specific needs / preference, be it special software, electronic board / hardware, custom keyboard, avoid specific food allergy, special size t-shirt, or simply wants some specific things, like custom bed cover, t-shirt, furniture size / shape, but making 1 of that maybe costly
Add-on(s) can be included as items
Take pre-order (with friends and/or their friends) if there is a demand for this solves this problem

This template assumes there is more discount if more items are reserved (because the mold or template has been made), and assume that more than 1 item type are allowed

oSplit will ensure that the minimum cost is reached before assigning reservations

Buy Multiple Expensive Items
Many stores will give deeper discount if you buy a lot of expensive items at once
You can organize this with your friends and their friends to get cheaper price

This template assumes there are 5 types of car and assumes there are more discounts if there are more purchases
The template assumes that not many people will be willing to transfer that much money to a friend of friend, therefore the Deal has deposit option. This option enables the participants have to transfer only the deposit, and the rest of the cost will be automatically set as debt (to be paid on agreed time).

oSplit will ensure that the minimum count is reached before assigning reservations

Personalize
If you need to achieve a certain target to get better price, whether to get a good discount by buying multiple personalized arts, or you need to make a base mold, or you need to buy a large resin, take a pre-order for the art

This template assumes there is more discount if more items are reserved, and assume that more than 1 item type are allowed, and also allowed minor tweak with additional cost (add-on)
The participants can reach out to you with specific personalization (or write the specific when they order)

oSplit will ensure that the minimum cost (including the add-on) is reached before assigning reservations and will ensure that the reservations can't be cancelled once the lock time has been passed (especially if some reservations can be made before the Deal ends)

Shipping to 1 Location
Buying together can make the price cheaper, but rather than shipping to multiple addresses, the price can be even cheaper if shipped to 1 address (decrease delivery fee)

This template assumes that more than 1 item type are allowed and only available to nearby people (doesn't make sense for far away friends)
This template also assume there are no limit to what's available on the farm (within reason), only limited to how big the delivery truck

oSplit will ensure that the minimum cost is reached before assigning reservations

Repackage / Almost Expired
When doing group buy, the item doesn't have to consist of multiple items - it can be from 1 item and divide into smaller items
For example: the same item in big package is cheaper than its smaller counterpart
Some almost expired item are on sale, making it impossible for individual to consume it completely
Buying with friends so each one get a smaller piece (optionally put it in a package) solves this problem

This template assumes there is a single good, split into the same (but smaller) goods - so the template only has 1 item, 1 price
The template also assume that there is no more discount if more items are reserved and assumed that a big package is enough to be split into 16 smaller packages

oSplit will ensure only assign reservations when they can make up a big package, otherwise they will be put in-queue pending other reservations

Example of Repackage:
  • Buy 2 get 1 free - 3 reservations / bundle @ 2/3 of the original price
  • Buy 1 get other for 50% off - 2 reservations / bundle @ 75% of the original price

Buy Combo
Some store/restaurant offers a bundle/package, cheaper than the sum of its items
Join with a friend who wants specific item in the bundle

This template assumes there are 2 components (2 x item #1 and 3 x item #2) that made up a bundle; more can be added if needed
The template also assumes the store gives even more discount for multiple purchases

oSplit will ensure only assign reservations when there are reservations that can fulfill at least 3 bundles of 2 for item #1 and 3 for item #2; after minimum has been achieved, increment of 1 bundle; if it is not 1 bundle, the new reservations will be put in-queue.

Season Ticket
Most of the time, buying ticket in a pack is cheaper than buying a single ticket
Some people only want to watch a certain team, this will split the ticket according to need

This template assumes that there is 46 individual tickets, with varying price with final is the most expensive
Although there are 46 tickets, the minimum requirement is 44, allowing the possibility that the individual season tickets don't have to be sold out - at least it covers the season ticket cost

By setting each ticket limit to 1, the oSplit ensures that only 1 person is assigned to a specific ticket
oSplit will ensure that the minimum count is reached before assigning reservations
To sell 2-3 pack of season tickets, adjust the limit of each ticket and set the minimum and maximum accordingly

This can also be used to split something that consist a lot of limited item, but not all need to be sold out, such as: coupon book, game bundle, etc

Pre Order (Buy)
There are things (such as snack, food, art, etc) that are only available to specific place/country; not many people have time or money to go there, but appreciate those things.
Even if you could order online, it may not be fresh or contact the seller yourselves and have the items delivered, but the delivery fee maybe high
By taking purchase order, you can be confident in buying, knowing each item you bought has a buyer

Items in the Deal doesn't need to represent a single good / service, but the item name can represent the buying price, and the actual item price represents the item cost and overhead fee
This can be useful when there are too many items that you are willing to buy; rather than listing all, it may be easier to ask the participants to go to the store website, and have them tell you what they want - and buy according the good according its original price
The template assumes that you profit 20% of any order, regardless the weight and bulkiness - that's why each $1 item costs $1.20

oSplit will ensure that the minimum count is reached before assigning reservations

Chicken / Duck / Goose Cuts
Some people prefer a specific cut - usually buying each part of chicken is more expensive than buying whole chicken
Join with a friend who wants specific part of a chicken

This template assumes that not many people eat head, feet and inner organ of chicken therefore they are set as free
If there is no taker, you can reserve them yourselves to allow 2 breasts and 2 thigh to be sold

Adjust the total price (according to how much it really cost and the currency you are using) when duplicating, for suggested price each item

oSplit will ensure only assign reservations that made up 1 chicken

Rabbit Cuts (not finished)
Some people prefer a specific cut - usually buying each part of rabbit is more expensive than buying whole rabbit
Join with a friend who wants specific part of a rabbit

This template assumes that not many people eat head, feet and inner organ of rabbit therefore they are set as free
If there is no taker, you can reserve them yourselves to allow other parts to be sold

Adjust the total price (according to how much it really cost and the currency you are using) when duplicating, for suggested price each item

oSplit will ensure only assign reservations that made up 1 rabbit

Goat Cuts (not finished)
Unlike splitting chicken, you don't know exactly how much each item weight before you cut a large cattle.
A butcher can use this to make sure most meats are sold immediately - this template contains parts of a goat and their suggested price.
The buyers may also appreciate fresh meat.

This template assumes that you underestimate the weight of each item, and you will cut a day before end time; this allows you to increase (not decrease) the weight available

Adjust the total price (according to how much it really cost and the currency you are using) when duplicating, for suggested price each item
You can adjust each price afterward, including a free one

oSplit will ensure that the minimum cost is reached before assigning reservations

Lamb Cuts (not finished)
Unlike splitting chicken, you don't know exactly how much each item weight before you cut a large cattle.
A butcher can use this to make sure most meats are sold immediately - this template contains parts of a lamb and their suggested price.

Pig Cuts
Unlike splitting chicken, you don't know exactly how much each item weight before you cut a large cattle.
A butcher can use this to make sure most meats are sold immediately - this template contains parts of a pig and their suggested price.

Cow Cuts (not finished)
Unlike splitting chicken, you don't know exactly how much each item weight before you cut a large cattle.
A butcher can use this to make sure most meats are sold immediately - this template contains parts of a cow and their suggested price.

Transporting State to State
Splitting doesn't have to be limited to physical items as well. Service, such as transporting goods, can be split as well.
If you have to drive from coast to cost, especially with large truck, you can transport goods without the fear that there is an overlapping route

The template assumes that this trip is from US West Coast to US East Coast, with approximately I-90 length of the starting state with its approximate cost division for that route, without assuming the toll fee or how dangerous each piece of the toll is

oSplit will ensure only assign reservations if total cost is $1000 (at most $1800, the cost if the entire trip is booked)
However, the organizer should pick either all or none of the participant's reservations - otherwise if the participant wants to transport from Washington to Wisconsin and you only approve Washington to Montana, where would you drop the item?

Shipping or Import/Export
Shipping a small or thin item (like painting) may cost the same or similar, therefore it cost less to ship together
Shipping a container of items maybe cheaper than a box of items, therefore it cost less to ship together

The template assumes there are 2 type of items to be imported and assumes that the shipping fee will become cheaper for a lot of items

oSplit will ensure that the minimum count is reached before assigning reservations

Class / Expert
Organizing class or inviting expert can be hard, and keep track of who owes what can be hard.

This template assumes there are 2 types of participants; with and without material
The template also assumes that the price will get cheaper if there are more participants, because the participants get less attentions when there are more participants

oSplit will ensure that the minimum count is reached before assigning reservations

Group Share

Group Sharing usually involves an expensive item and a long term commitment & interaction
It is recommended to manually approve each reservations and at least discuss some kind of ground rules, preferably in form of agreement / contract
oSplit also doesn't put a limit on who owns the good shared: sole ownership, fractional ownership, or indirect ownership (through company), etc

Membership Benefit
Some stores use membership to give discount. Some even require payment. Some membership is allowed to be shared. Some even give points to every purchase.
Sharing membership with friends can speed up the exhaustible benefit generation while giving its participants non-exhaustible benefit (free shipping, discount, etc)

The template assumes there is 1 type of membership and assume that there is no price associated with the item because there is benefit to the membership holder for sharing and there is non-exhaustible benefit for the participants

oSplit will assign reservations right away up until the max

Telecom Subscription
Cellphone plan is very expensive, but it is less expensive with a family & friend plan - where you share minutes and data plan
By having friends as a member plan, the chance of abusing minutes and data plan can be minimized

This template assumes that there is no difference in membership, none will be able to get a faster or slower, or less data/minutes
The template also assumes that there are multiple family plan, the bigger plan and more expensive it is, the more people can join, which makes it less expensive
Because nowadays almost everyone has a phone and in need of cheap data plan, the template assumes that you can afford to share with your friends only (not with their friends)

oSplit will ensure that the minimum count is reached before assigning reservations

Nearby Sharing
There are sharing that is suitable for friends or even friends of friends, but there are sharing that more suitable or even must be done with someone close by - for example: an electric generator, internet sharing - can be done with neighbor - although may be suitable for house mate or apartment

This template assumes that there is no difference in membership, none will be able to get a faster or slower, or less data
The template also assumes that there are multiple plans, the bigger plan and more expensive it is, the more people can join, which makes it less expensive
Even close may not be close enough to get internet connection or something is blocking the connection, that's why the template assumes that you want to verify it first before allowing the oSplit to put the participants in-queue

oSplit will ensure that the minimum count is reached before assigning reservation

Library of Things
There are tools that you only need once a while, such as garden tools, and it may be expensive to get all the tools - just to be used once in a while
Sharing with nearby neighbor solves this problem

The template assumes each tool has a different limit; there will be more than 1 for more often used tools.
There is no cost associated with reserving the tool because this is a co-op, exchanging tools to be used in order for the privilege of using other's tools.

oSplit will ensure there will be a minimum of 10 (up to 13) before assigning reservations

Non-Exclusive Space Sharing
Usually, when you share a place, you want your own space to be used exclusively, but sometimes you can share most / all spaces
For example: renting an informational stand, which only purpose is to give information like wedding photography, wedding cake bakery, pre-wed photography
With this setup, it is better to ensure only 1 type of service provider is there, therefore no competition, better yet, complement each other
However, if desired, for the customer to have more options, there can be more than 1 service providers, such as Pre-wed Photo Studio, where the customer can pick which studio is better suited

This template assumes there are up to 5 type of non-competing but complementary tenants, each pays the same amount of money
The template also assumes there are 3 tiers, the more tenants, the cheaper it is

oSplit will ensure there will be at least 3 (up to 6) tenants before assigning reservations
The organizer can pick based on the type of business a participant has

Rent Space Sharing
Rather than renting an apartment, it may be cheaper renting a house and split the rooms; however, it may be unsafe to find a random person from the internet.
By advertising the house to only friends (and/or their friends) as potential roommates, you may have a better chance of screening the person

This template assumes there are 1 master bedroom and 3 bedrooms, with different prices
If the bedrooms aren't different that much, better to list as 1, to allow people to make reservation for that 1 room type

oSplit will ensure that all 4 bedrooms are reserved before assigning reservations

Purchase Space Sharing
For all intent and purpose, renting for space sharing and purchasing for space sharing are similar; it is cheaper than keep renting an apartment; however, it may be unsafe to find a random person from an internet.
By advertising the house to only friends (and/or their friends) as potential roommates, you may have a better chance of screening the person

This template assumes there are 1 master bedroom with a bathroom and 1 without, 3 regular bedroom and 1 smaller bedroom
The difference is: you may be OK to transfer 1 month worth of rent to someone you know, or at least someone your friend knows; but you may not have the money readily available for a fraction of house down payment
The Deal with deposit only ask a portion of the money - but will charge the rest as soon as the Deal ends successfully

oSplit will ensure that all 4 types of bedrooms are reserved before assigning reservations

Profit Sharing
Sharing doesn't have to be use sharing, but can also be profit sharing
Weather you have an idea, you have money or just want a partner, you can fund raise your business capital

The template assumes that there are 2 tiers, there is no price discount on achieving the tier, but the excess (from minimum) will be used to enhance the business (put in the description)
The template assumes there is only 1 business membership option; and because the cost of the investment are expensive, there will be 10% deposit

oSplit will ensure there will be 100 reservations (up to 120) before assigning reservations

Example of Profit Sharing:
  • Rental Property: hotel, condo, apartment, house
  • Factory
  • Business

Fixed Multiple
If you want a pairing / specific multiple of something, you can use oSplit
For example: to maximize hotel room usage, each room must be used by 2 people

The template assumes that a hotel room can accommodate 2 people each room and assumes when there are 10 reservations (5 pairs), the price will be cheaper because there will be discount, or the accommodation is changed (to an apartment)

oSplit will ensure there will be 2 pairs of reservations (4 reservations) up to 5 pairs

Example of Fixed Multiple:
  • Gym membership - requires 2 people for family package
  • private use reservation, such as bus, plane, cruise ship, golf course, movie theater
  • travel carpool (4 people)

Use in Rotation
Some children get bored easily playing the same toy again and again
Rather than buying new ones every time or exchanging again & again on the exchange market for a steep fee, why not exchange it temporarily to your friends

This template assumes that there are 4 types of toys and to ensure each child will have played different type of toys, there is a limit to how many toys each category has; it is OK to have a repeated educational toys, but limit the fun toys to 1
There is no cost associating with the toys because this is a co-op, exchanging toys to be used in order for the privilege of using other's toys.

oSplit will ensure that every day there will be a minimum of 8 toy collections, but have a limit for each type, so not all toys are educational, but not all toys are fun
It is possible to have only education and learn to read toys, but it is not possible to have only a fun and sport toy collections, as the oSplit ensures there is only 1 fun toy collection and 2 sport toys - but the oSplit only ensure what each person promise and can't control what actually being brought

Example of Use in Rotation
  • Books, Movies, Games / Consoles

Pre-Loved / Used / Second Hand / Passed-On
Growing kids requires things that sometimes only being able to be used several months, such as toys, cloths, sandals, shoes, etc.; after that, the parents need to buy new sets again
Passing on these items to parents of younger children will solve this problem; you may be able to trust more if you are doing this with your friend or their friends

This template assumes that the item will be good enough to be passed to 5 owners (over 5 years period); there will be 5 owners for each (collections of) item (1 or 2 items), with the last one will be the owner

oSplit will ensure there will be 5 reservations before assigning reservations

Example of Passed-On:
  • Party Decoration: a person re-uses another person's party decoration for his own party

Car Driver-Passenger Split
Traveling by car together can be fun, especially if you use your (friend)'s car to travel, but may not be fair to the driver or car owner, because the car requires maintenance, and it is tiring to drive
Sharing the cost with passengers can solve this problem

This template assumes that each car must have 3 other passengers and $10 from each passenger is enough to cover cost (driver doesn't need to pay, and the organizer will eventually give the money to the car owner)

oSplit will ensure there will be 1 car owner, 1 driver and 3 other passengers, from 1 to 5 cars

Seasonal Time Share
Rather than renting a store for a particular season for seasonal items (and close or barely selling for the rest of the seasons), why not cooperate with other sellers who sell seasonal items as well?
For example winter seasonal store selling Christmas ornaments or snow related items or ski resort promotion, spring seasonal store selling gardening tools or plants, summer seasonal store selling ice cream, fall seasonal store selling winter clothing
By advertising the house to only friends (and/or their friends) as potential co-tenants, you may be able to trust the person more

This template assumes that there are 4 seasons in a year

oSplit will ensure that all 4 seasons are reserved before assigning reservations

Monthly Time Share
There are some luxury items we would like to have, such as boat, vacation house - but for many of us, the price is too expensive to be used only once a while and still pay each month for maintenance, tax or storage
There are some company that offer timeshare, but why not offer timeshare yourselves for a fraction of the price?

This template consists of 12 months, without making assumption of holidays (this is country specific) except for New Year eve (December), but each month's price is based on the number of days

oSplit will ensure that at least 10 different months (up to 12 months) are reserved before assigning reservations

Weekly Time Share
There are some luxury items we would like to have, such as boat, vacation house - but for many of us, the price is too expensive to be used only once a while and still pay each month for maintenance, tax or storage
There are some company that offer timeshare, but why not offer timeshare yourselves for a fraction of the price?

This template consists of 52 weeks, assumes the day of the year (not day of the week), without making any assumption on holidays (this is country specific) except for last week of the year (new year eve) and February which may or may not have an extra day

oSplit will ensure that at least 45 different weeks (up to 52 weeks) are reserved before assigning reservations

Day of Week Time Share
Some budding or parttime professionals like photographer or yoga instructor can't effort to rent the whole place himself
Each tenant's customers can be instructed to come at specific day when it is his turn to be able to use the place

This template consists of 7 days, with an assumption that the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) are more expensive, which is not necessarily true, especially if the business depends on workers / students

oSplit will ensure that at least 6 different days (up to 7 days) are reserved before assigning reservations

Time of Day Time Share
Some people only sell food at night because the food is considered as night snack.
Other people only sell food in the morning because that's what people eat in the morning and hardly eat that at night.
Why let the stand get unused most of the day?

This template assumes there are 6 time divisions in a day, each with different price

To prevent the Deal to be on when most of the items sold are on cheaper price, the Deal is triggered by Money, not by Count

The template can also be used for people sharing a car at different time

Day of Month Time Share
There are some items that you only use once or twice a month regularly.
For example: BBQ grill - for sharing items regularly, it is best to do with nearby people. It is too bulky to be transported with ease.

This template consists of 31 days, with day 29 to 31 being cheaper because there are months that the day of month doesn't exist

oSplit will ensure that at least 26 different days (up to 31 days) are reserved before assigning reservations

Hourly Time Share
Sometimes you only use item during a specific time of day, for example when you are at work, from 9 AM - 5 PM. For 2/3 of the day, it is unused.
There isn't a lot of things that people can use during night, but different part of the world can make use of that.
One of the thing that can be shared this way is software that uses floating license or cloud-based software, i.e. it only counts how many people are using it at the same time

The template consist of 24 hours without making assumption on which timezone it should be more expensive

oSplit will ensure that at least 20 different hours (up to 24 hours) are reserved before assigning reservations

Example of Hourly Time Share
  • Streaming

Weekdays and Weekends of Month Time Share
There are some items that you only use once or twice a month regularly, especially on a weekend.
For example: lawn mower, usually takes 1-2 hours, and it is hard to do once you are off work.

This template assumes that having the shared item on weekends are more valuable, even more valuable than the whole weekdays - and split further by the n-th weekday or weekend
To prevent the Deal to be on when most of the items sold are weekdays, the Deal is triggered by Money, not by Count

oSplit will ensure that the total cost is at least $100 (up to $150) are reserved before assigning reservations

Once in a While Time Share
Not all timeshare has to follow a specific schedule. For example: someone who only uses car occasionally, sharing 1 car (or a pool of cars) might make sense. The timeshare only stipulate the max number of usage per period of time

This template assumes there is only 1 membership option.
The template also assumes to prevent too few or too many users per item, there should be exactly 5 people using the same item.
Furthermore, the template assumes there is a benefit of having more than 1 item - so it allows up to 3 cars to have (too many will be too hard to manage)

oSplit will ensure that each 5 reservations unlock a car, with up to 3 cars

Example of Once in a While Time Share
  • Borrowing camera/video camera/studio
  • Right to call for help (like tow truck, gas)

Misc

These are unconventional or non-obvious uses of oSplit

Weekday Co-operative
Instead of tackling one thing yourselves, you can make co-operative
Baby sitter can be expensive. Even dog walking sitter can be expensive.
Rather than paying for one, why not set up a baby sitting co-op, where in return for getting baby sitting for free, you provide baby sitting to others.

This template assumes the baby sitting only be done on weekday (Monday - Friday), without any price to reserve (because this is exchanging labor, not selling something)

oSplit will ensure that every day there will be a minimum of 3 people (the Deal requires minimum 3 bundles, each bundle 1 person / day - 3 people) and maximum of 5 people - so at minimum, there will be 15 reservations

Examples of Cooperative:
  • Sell / Rent a poll of items (take turn waiting for customers)
  • Huge Store Sale (some wait in line to get in, others replace those wait in line to search for item, other wait in line to check out)
  • Community Space (take turn attending garden)

Expertise Exchange
Instead of group buy or sharing, oSplit can be used to exchange similar value

This template assumes there are several labors (and how many is needed) in exchange for a certain labor hour from the organizer
The template assumes that there is no price associated with the item because this is an exchange

oSplit will assign reservations right away up until the max

Example of Exchange:
  • Skill
  • Exchange Consumptive Item, such as ticket, time share
  • Exchange property or vehicle (need to change the certificate) - permanent or temporary
  • Exchange Currency (need to determine the exchange rate or what exchange rate will be used)

Keeping Track
Checklist style Deal will enable an organizer to keep track who and what of something; with the option to accept or put on-hold depending on the participant
If you already have a specific group that you want to co-operate, you can approve all people in the group
There is no cost associating with the list because this is a co-op, the list keeps track of who is responsible for what

oSplit will ensure that the minimum count is reached before assigning reservations, but will stop when the Deal reached its limit
The minimum and maximum can be the same if all needs to be fulfilled

Example of Keeping Track
  • Meeting (who's coming and how many)
  • Give Away (what's been taken, who will take it)
  • Wish List (what you want to get and who has taken care of it, what hasn't been taken care of)

Borrow Money
If you need money, you can turn to a bank for a loan. Some requires some collateral.
Other option is to use peer lending platform; oSplit can be used as lending platform between friends. This is a good option you have the money and want to make the money works for you than just sitting in the bank, or just help out a friend in need.
This platform match you and your friends where both can benefit with lower interest fee (for the organizer), higher interest fee (for the participants), low platform fee.
Please understand that there is no credit check what so ever, it is your friend, you should balance the risk and reward

This template assumes there is 1 type of lender

oSplit will ensure that the minimum count is reached before assigning reservations, but will stop when the Deal reached its limit

Splitting Risk
Up until now, all templates assume a fair split, every one get equal share of the item; but splitting doesn't have to be that way - you can split risk, it's there if you need it, but not everyone will use it

Usually each house should have a basic emergency kit, but sometimes it makes sense to have a community emergency readiness kit - for example:
- expensive (for example: oxygen tank)
- not always available (for example: no store opens all the time)
- short expiration date medicine
- rarely needed, but when needed, usually it must be applied as soon as possible (for example: anti venom)

The template assumes that there is 1 type of membership and there are 2 tiers, there is no price discount on achieving the tier, but it will unlock a goal (put these goals as text)

oSplit will ensure there will be a minimum of 10 (up to 35) before assigning reservations

Example of Splitting Risk:
  • Group Insurance for family members and close friends (everyone pays monthly or 1 time fee, the money can be used by whoever really needs it)
