Cancellation
In a traditional or offline group buy, such as purchasing apples in bulk as a group, it's common to expect the ability to cancel, change, or reduce Reservations, especially if it doesn't cause any harm to the organizer who hasn't bought the items yet. Similarly, organizers also have the authority to cancel Reservations or the entire group buy (Deal) if needed. There could be valid reasons for cancellation, such as changes in participants' schedules or unavailability of stock at the store. In oSplit, both organizers and participants have the ability to cancel Reservations, but only the organizer can cancel the entire Deal.
However, to prevent abuse, Reservation cancellations that cause the Deal to go down a tier (Tier Step Down), for example from achieving the minimum deal requirement to not achieving it, or from achieving tier 3 to tier 2, will negatively impact the reputation of the person who cancels it. If the organizer cancels a Deal when there are other participants, the organizer's reputation will be negatively affected.

more on Reputation There are several reasons why the organizers may want to prevent Reservations from being canceled, such as.
- The organizer may want to start processing Reservations right away to avoid being overwhelmed by handling all the Reservations at once when the Deal ends.
- The organizer may incur partial loss of value when Reservations are cancelled, for example, due to deposits paid or items being in inventory for a long time
Agreeing with Cancellation
As previously mentioned, unforeseen circumstances can occasionally lead to the necessity of canceling a reservation by either an organizer or a participant. To prevent potential misuse, cancellations that result in Tier Step Down will have a negative impact on one's reputation. If an organizer cancels a participant's reservation, resulting in Tier Step Down, the participant has the option of agreeing with the cancellation, thus mitigating the negative impact on their standing.
Similarly, organizers can also agree with cancellations initiated by participants. However, organizers cannot agree with their own reservation cancellations.
It's important to note that you shouldn't force the other party to agree with the cancellation. Regardless of whether the other party agrees with the cancellation or not, the cancellation will proceed as planned. Encouraging communication between organizers and participants, especially before proceeding with cancellations, is highly recommended. When the other party understand and accepts the reasoning, they are more likely to agree with the cancellation.

Cancellation Deadline
By default, Reservations can be cancelled at any time before the Deal ends. However, as an organizer, you can set a Cancellation Deadline for a particular Deal. Once the Cancellation Deadline has passed, participants can no longer reduce Reservations that have already been Allocated, even if they want to replace them with Reservations of similar value. However, they can still remove Reservations that are In-Queue or add new Reservations. The Organizer, on the other hand, can still cancel a participant's Reservations or cancel / end the Deal even after the Cancellation Deadline has passed. If a Cancellation Deadline is set on the Deal, prospective participants will be warned on the Reservations screen. If a participant really needs to cancel an Allocated Reservations after the Cancellation Deadline has passed, they can contact the Deal's organizer. However, the organizer's reputation will be negatively affected for cancelling a Reservations that causes Tier Step Down. Therefore, following the cancellation request you've made, it's important to also confirm your agreement with the cancellation, by clicking the Agree with Cancellation button. If the Cancellation Deadline is set on or before the Deal's start time, any Allocated Reservation will not be able to be cancelled by the participant.
If the Cancellation Deadline is set on or after the Deal's Participation Deadline, the Cancellation Deadline will not be used.
If the Cancellation Deadline is set after the start time and before the Participation Deadline, participants will not be able to reduce their Reservations after the Cancellation Deadline has passed.
This option allows the organizer to work on/buy the items on Allocated Reservations (before the Deal ends) without worrying about last-minute cancellations.. The cancellation deadline serves as a means of providing flexibility and fairness for both participants and organizers in group buying or group sharing.
